Lightning and thunderstorms
Lightning probability crosses a safe threshold.
High wind
Gusts strong enough to make being outside risky.
Heavy snow or blizzard
Significant snowfall, or visibility down to blizzard levels.
Heavy rain and flooding
Rainfall intense enough to flood roads or overwhelm drains.
Dangerous fog
Dense fog that cuts visibility to unsafe driving distances.
Ice and freezing rain
Freezing precipitation that turns surfaces hazardous.
